Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued notification against
recruitment of 763 vacancies through Engineering Services Examination.
Eligible candidates may apply Online on or before 06-05-2013. Other
details like age limit, educational qualification, application fee
details, selection process and how to apply are given below…

Age Limit: Candidates’
age must have attained 21 years and must not have attained 30 years of
age. Cutoff date for determining age limit would be 01-01-2013. Age
relaxations would be extended as per Govt. rules.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess a Degree in Engineering from a reputed
University and have passed sections A & B of the Institution
Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India) or obtained a
Degree/Diploma in Engineering from foreign University or passed Graduate
Membership Exam of the Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication
Engineers (India) or passed Associate Membership Exam Art II & III
of the Aeronautical Society or passed Graduate Membership Exam of the
Institute if Electronics & Radio Engineers, London held after 1959.
Application Fee Details:
Candidates required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- either by depositing the
money in any Branch of SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of
State Bank of India/State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of
Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of
Travancore (or) by using Visa/Master Credit/ Debit card. SC/ ST/ Female/
PH candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
Selection Process:
Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in
Written Test followed by certificates’ verification and Interview.
How to Apply:
Candidates can apply online through the website ww.ssconline.nic.in. The
Online Applications (Part I and II) can be filled from 06-04-2013 to
06-05-2013 till 11.59 p.m.
Instructions for Online Application:
1. Log on to www.upsconline.nic.in
2. Select on ‘Online Application for Various Examinations of UPSC’ link.
3. Select the Part-I Registration link which consists of personal details.
4. After filling up all marked details of Part-I, click on ‘Continue’ button.
5. This will provide you with Registration ID, retain it.
6. Enter the payment details in the appropriate place.
7. To fill up Part-II of Application, Registration Number and Date of Birth must be entered.
8. Fill all marked details carefully
9. Upload photo & Signature in the appropriate place .
10. After filling all the details click on the submit button.

Bokaro teel Plant under SAIL invites application for the following non-executive posts :
Operator-cum-Technician Trainee : 579 Posts in various disciplines, Pay Scale : Rs. 9160 – 3% – 13150, Age : 18-28 years. Relaxation as per rules., Qualification : Diploma in Engineering.
Attendant-cum-Technician Trainee : 358 Posts in various disciplines, Pay Scale : Rs. 8630 – 3% – 12080, Age : 18-28 years. Relaxation as per rules., Qualification : Diploma in Engineering.
Selection Process : Selection shall be thru Written test & Interview. Schedule for the same shall be communicated later. Date, time and venue for Written Test/Interview will be intimated to eligible shortlisted candidates through e- mail/SMS/SAIL
Application Fee : Rs. 150/- for Attendant Trainee and Rs.250/- for Operator Trainee posts (Rs. 50/- for SC/ST candidates) to be paid in State Bank of India through a payment challan.

General Instructions:
1. There is age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates on production of Caste Certificate, issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format as given in the website (as applicable).
2. Eligible employees of Bokaro Steel Plant may also apply as Departmental candidates. Upper age limit for Departmental candidates shall be 33 years as on 01.01.2013 (additional 05 years for SC/ST Departmental candidates.) Upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for PH candidates.
3. PH reservation on horizontal basis, only for Orthopaedically Handicapped (OL: One Leg affected) & Hearing Handicapped (PD: Partially Deaf) & Visually Handicapped (PB: Partially Blind) candidates having a minimum of 40% disability. Preference to Local Displaced Persons shall be regulated in terms of the judgement dated 5thmarch ’08 of Hon’ble Supreme Court Civil Appeal No.
4. Candidates employed in Govt. departments/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies will have to produce NOC at the time of interview and release order at the time of joining. Candidates should retain a photocopy of their Pay in Slip and Registration Slip as they will be asked to produce it for future reference.
5. At the time of Interview, if the certificates brought by the candidate are not written in English or Hindi they should be accompanied with translated English/Hindi copies and the same should be attested by a Gazetted officer.
6. All correspondence with candidates shall be done through e-mail only. All information regarding examination schedule/admit card/ interview call letters etc. shall be provided through email/uploading on SAIL website.
7. Candidates are not required to send any document to SAIL. The candidates will be allowed to appear in the Written Test /Interview only if they possess the valid Photo Admit Card which will be available for download from the SAIL website as per schedule indicated below.
8. The vacancies shown above are provisional and liable to be increased or decreased or may even be reduced to nil, in which case Bokaro Steel Plant is not liable to compensate the applicant for the consequential damage.
