Media Lab Asia has been promoted by Department of Electronics and Information technology, MCIT, Govt. of India as a not for profit company. Applications invited for the posts of Technical and Management Trainees to work on projects in the area of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) :
Technical Trainees : 4-6 posts, Age : 28 years as on 30/04/2013, Stipend : Rs.18000 – 30000, Qualification : First Class BE / B.Tech. in CS/IT/ECE or MCA or M.Sc. (CS/IT) or equivalent with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA
Management Trainees : 1-2 posts, Age : 28 years as on 30/04/2013, Stipend : Rs.18000 – 30000, Qualification : First Class Graduates in any discipline with MBA in Marketing / Information Technology / Systems /Rural Management / Supply Chain Management or equivalent with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.

1. Media Lab Asia is a Section-25 company setup by Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Govt. of India. Media Lab Asia (MLAsia) endeavours to bring the benefits of the information and communication technologies
2. Media Lab Asia has taken up the Project “IT Research Academy” (ITRA) for capacity building of R&D in ICTE. ITRA operates as a division of Media Lab Asia. National e-Governance Division (NeGD) has also been created as an autonomous business division within Media Lab Asia,
3. Media Lab Asia intends taking up projects which are interdisciplinary / multi-institutional. Media Lab Asia will act as a binding organization to hold different Research Partners and the activities together by way of proper project management during the development of ICT based products & services.
4. Media Lab Asia is looking for result oriented, energetic and committed Engineering and Management Graduates or Post Graduates with excellent academic record to join Media Lab Asia as Technical/Management Trainees.
5. Candidates with qualifications specified under 2(a) above, and passed out in 2011/ 2012 with First Class with minimum 60% or those who are appearing for final exams in 2013 who are confident of scoring 1st Class or equivalent CGPA shall be eligible to apply.

Media Lab Asia has been promoted by Department of Electronics and Information technology, MCIT, Govt. of India as a not for profit company. The objective of the company was set to bring the benefits of ICT to the common man. It started with the functional activity areas such as World Computer (Affordable, ubiquitous computing and access devices), Bits for All (Low Cost, High bandwidth connectivity) and Tomorrow’s Tool (Rurally relevant applications). However it was later changed to application areas such as ICT for Healthcare, Education, Livelihood and Empowerment of Disabled. Since then the company has taken up 75 development projects and some of the projects are now being rolled out at the national level. The company has a unique way of growth by working with an expanding network of research laboratories for undertaking development work. It started with creating a hub at some of the IITs and the list of such project partners has grown to more than 58.
